Description

Translation of the Theragāthā. The ninth text of the Khuddaka-nikāya of the Sutta-piṭaka, a collection of poems ascribed to elder nuns (therīs). Many of the verses are accounts of religious experiences, some of which also achieve a high poetic standard.
