Description
The sixth and seventh books of the Khuddaka-nikāya of the Sutta-piṭaka.
The Vimānavatthu text consists of 83 stories describing the former meritorious actions that have led to individuals being reborn as gods enjoying life in celestial mansions (vimānas). The Petavatthu consists of 51 stories about departed ones (petas) who suffer because of bad action in former lives.
